Box T-Shirt Sewing Class

Beginner Garment Sewing | 4 hours 

In this hands on class you'll sew a relaxed box t-shirt using a Heather Case studio-designed pattern. This is an ideal first garment class for anyone who's comfortable using a sewing machine and ready to move beyond accessories and into clothing.

We'll walk through the full process together from choosing your size to laying out your fabric, how to read a simple pattern, to cutting, construction and finishing. You will leave with a finished t-shirt and the confidence to make it again at home.

The box t-shirt is a versatile wardrobe staple with an easy, modern shape that works beautifully in linen, cotton or lightweight woven fabrics. This is a really great project for up-cycling an old sheet or some other non-stretch vintage fabric!

What to Bring:

• pre-washed and ironed fabric (amount and prep details provided after registration)
• matching thread
• your sewing machine (please let me know ahead of time if you need one to use)

Skill Level:

Beginner/Confident Beginner - you should be comfortable operating a sewing machine and sewing a straight seam.
